Chamomile Catnip Tincture for Better Sleep

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of chamomile (dried flowers)
  • 3 tablespoons of catnip (dried)
  • 3 tablespoons of lavender (dried)
  • 1 tablespoon of hops (dried flowers)
  • 2 cups of vodka

Directions

This easy chamomile catnip is an excellent remedy for sleepless nights. Chamomile and catnip are both known for their calming and relaxing effects, which promote restful sleep. Lavender and hops, besides adding pleasant aroma, also have calming effects on the nervous system, helping you fall asleep faster and improving the quality of your sleep.

  1. Put all of the herbs in a glass jar and pour alcohol over them. Mix well.(2 minutes)
  2. Close the lid and place the jar in a dark cabinet for six weeks.(1 minute)
  3. After six weeks, strain the liquid through cheesecloth, reserving the liquid and discarding the herbs.(2 minutes)

Store this potent tincture in the fridge. Take a teaspoon (5mL) of the tincture with half a glass of warm water right before bedtime.
