Astragalus and Echinacea Tisane for Flu Prevention

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons of echinacea (leaves; dried)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of astragalus (root; chopped)
  • 1 pint of water (as required)

Directions

This antiviral herbal blend will stimulate the immune system to keep the flu away this winter. Sip it by the cupful on a daily basis upon noticing congestion and weakness to prevent the onset of further symptoms.

  1. Boil the kettle and combine the astragalus root and echinacea leaves in a mug.(3 minutes)
  2. Fill the mug with boiling water and leave the herbs to steep for 5 minutes.(5 minutes)
  3. Strain and compost the herbs, then transfer the resulting liquid back into the mug to drink.(2 minutes)

Consume this infusion immediately to stimulate the immune system, and for the next five days to keep flu symptoms at bay.
