This tea combines alfalfa's vitamins and minerals with the cleansing power of boldo to help boost kidney and adrenal function. With additional help from brain-supporting horsetail and phytoestrogenic flaxseed, this tea offers gentle nourishment not only to the adrenal glands, but also the whole body.
- Bring water to a boil.
- Add horsetail, boldo, flax, barley, and alfalfa and reduce heat to very low and let simmer for an hour.(1 hour)
- Remove from heat, strain out and discard the herbs, reserving the liquid.(2 minutes)
- Flavor with lemon juice and sweeten with maple syrup or honey. Serve while still warm or tepid.
Take a cup (or more) of this alfalda boldo tea each morning with breakfast.
