Directions

This chocolaty kaniwa pudding offers a delicious yet surprising combination of flavors. Its base comes from ground kaniwa, an Andean pseudocereal known for its protein content and high amounts of iron. Flavored with cinnamon, vanilla, and cacao, this kaniwa pudding with strawberries and cream is a refreshing and wholesome dessert for any occasion.

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix them with a whisk.(2 minutes)
  2. Once everything is well combined, transfer the mixture into a pan and cook it over low heat until it thickens while constantly whisking.(4 minutes)
  3. Transfer the pudding to individual cups and let it set in the fridge for a few hours.(2 hours)
  4. When ready to serve, garnish as desired and enjoy!

You may garnish your kaniwa pudding according to your preference or using what you have on hand. Strawberries and coconut whipped cream are always a great pairing, especially when sprinkled with theobromine-rich cacao nibs.
