Turmeric Decoction for Joint Inflammation

  • Turmeric
  • Honey
  • Water
  • 6 tablespoons of Turmeric (root, chopped, and peeled)
  • 3 teaspoons of Honey
  • 6 1/4 cups of Water (Cold)


This aromatic decoction can help people with chronic pain or arthritic conditions lessen joint inflammation and the discomfort it causes, thanks to the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric. To boost its effectiveness, it should be drunk throughout the day on a consistent basis

  1. Place the turmeric chunks in a small pot and cover them with cold water. Put the heat on and bring water to a gentle boil.
  2. Then lower the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 15 minutes.(15 minutes)
  3. Add the honey two minutes before turning off the stove. Then set the decoction aside and let it cool before straining it. Enjoy!

Drink this decoction three times a day for at least two weeks in order to manage chronic joint pain and prevent flare-ups. For more personalized dosage, it is always best to consult a doctor.
