Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons of chamomile (flowers, dry)
  • 1 teaspoon of honey (to taste)
  • 1 cup of water

Directions

Chamomile is known for its deeply soothing aroma and sedative effects. This light, delicate infusion is packed with biochemical compounds that bind with gamma amino-butyric acid receptors in the brain, inducing lasting tranquility and deep relaxation. This recipe has only three simple ingredients, but is guaranteed to calm you down and make you less anxious, which is especially needed for a good night's sleep.

  1. Bring water to a boil.
  2. Add herbs, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Remove earlier for a weaker infusion.(20 minutes)
  3. Strain out the herbs, reserve liquid in a mug, add honey to taste, and enjoy.

Drink 2 to 3 cups daily for sustained relaxation, or as recommended by your physician. For best results, continue over several weeks.
