Lemon Ginger Honey Syrup for Cold Symptoms

Ingredients

  • Ginger (raw; 1 inch)
  • 1 cup of lemon juice
  • 1 cup of honey

During winter, having an herbal remedy that can strengthen the body's defenses and reduce cold symptoms is invaluable. This homemade syrup combines antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral power of honey, ginger, and lemon. It will also loosen mucus, thus helping you breathe better and get back on your feet faster.

  1. Add the honey and lemon juice to a jar.(2 minutes)
  2. Shred ginger and add it to the jar. For a stronger kick, you may add more ginger.(3 minutes)
  3. Close the lid and give it a good mix. Store in the refrigerator and enjoy!(1 minute)

If you are having a cold, take one tablespoon of this lemon ginger honey syrup two to three times a day. For prevention purposes, you may take one tablespoon daily.
