Directions

This recipe takes a few minutes to make, but will surprise you with a richness of flavors! Oats, as a great source of protein and fiber, nourish the digestive tract, optimizing its function, and aid in lowering LDL cholesterol. The addition of probiotic-rich natural yogurt and a handful of antioxidant berries makes this overnight oatmeal a nutritious and yummy treat.

  1. Place oats, liquid of choice, yogurt, and banana slices in a jar, and mix them well.(1 minute)
  2. Put the lid on and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.(8 hours)
  3. When ready to serve, add more liquid if too dry and top the oatmeal with fresh berries. It keeps in fridge for up to two days.(1 minute)

This recipe can be easily customized according to your liking. For more sweetness, you can add some lucuma powder, honey, or maple syrup. If you enjoy a little crunch, throw in some cacao nibs or chopped pecans. Cinnamon and other aromatic spices also make for a nice addition.
