  • 1 tablespoon of Lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of Lime Zest
  • 2/3 cups of Whole Milk
  • 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of Chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons of Maple Syrup (or to taste)
  • 3 Graham crackers (or more; crumbled)

Directions

These delicately sweet and tangy overnight kaniwa flakes will brighten up your morning. Making them the night before will only take you a few minutes. But the nutrients you will be getting - like kaniwa's protein and Greek yogurt's probiotics - will keep you nourished and satisfied for hours.

  1. Mix all of the ingredients (except for graham cookies) in an air-tight container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.(4 hours)
  2. Before serving, place some of the crumbled graham cookies at the bottom of two jars or glasses.(2 minutes)
  3. Give the overnight kaniwa flakes a mix and check for sweetness and consistency. Adjust according to your preference by adding a splash of milk or maple syrup.(2 minutes)
  4. Divide the flake mixture between the jars on top of the cookies. Top it with a little bit of Greek yogurt (optional), crumbled graham cookies, and lime zest. Enjoy!(3 minutes)
