Ingredients

  • Salt (a pinch, Optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of Baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour (regular or gluten free)
  • 1 1/3 cups of Almond Milk
  • 2 teaspoons of maca powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of allspice powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tablespoon of apple sauce

Directions

The stimulating properties of maca, which is also a great endocrine modulator and hormone balancer for both men and women, can be enjoyed in this delicious recipe that includes cinnamon and allspice, two flavorful spices with great medicinal benefits, as well as apple sauce, which contributes to make great, fluffy pancakes. 

  1. In a medium bowl, mix all the dry ingredients: flour, maca and baking powder, cinnamon, allspice, and a pinch of salt(2 minutes)
  2. Add apple sauce, egg, and almond milk. Whisk until smooth and set aside for about 5-10 minutes(10 minutes)
  3. Prepare your pancakes as usual(10 minutes)
  4. Enjoy immediately with maple syrup or honey
