Quinoa Oatmeal Breakfast Bowl

  • 1 cup of oat
  • 1 cup of HerbaZest Quinoa Flakes
  • 1 banana (sliced)
  • 2 1/2 cups of whole milk (or water)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons of chia
  • 2 teaspoons of flax
  • 6 strawberry (sliced)
  • 2 teaspoons of maple syrup (or to taste)


Adding quinoa to breakfast meals is a great way to start the day with a hearty dose of protei and complex carbs. This breakfast bowl recipe combines quinoa flakes with oats as well as chia and flax for healthy fats, creating a balanced morning meal that will keep you well-nourished and full for longer.

  1. Pour the milk (or water, if using) to a small saucepan and bring it to a boil.(5 minutes)
  2. Reduce the heat to a simmer and add all of the ingredients. Mix and cook for 10 minutes until it gets creamy and thick, stirring frequently.(10 minutes)
  3. Transfer into bowls and garnish as desired. Enjoy!

Top your breakfast bowl with fresh fruits, shredded coconut, chopped nuts, pumpkin seeds, dried mulberries, or other favorite toppings.
