Fall months are all about pumpkin spice goodies, and what better way to begin the pumpkin season than to whisk up a batch of pumpkin spice mix! Besides being deliciously aromatic and versatile, it offers a multitude of medicinal properties. Most spices included in the mix have potent anti-inflammatory abilities as well as key compounds that have shown effective in enhancing digestive functions and relieving indigestion, which might come in handy during the holiday season.
You may experiment with different proportions of the individual spices according to your liking. If you prefer your pumpkin spice mix to be a little sweeter, add a little more cinnamon. If you like it to have a stronger punch, add a little more ginger, or black pepper. For a more pronounced aroma, try increase the amount of clove or allspice.
