  • 1 cup of nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoons of onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of thyme
  • 1 tablespoon of oregano (dried)
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley (dried)
  • 1 teaspoon of ground celery seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground turmeric
  • 4 tablespoons of salt (or more/less according to preference; can be omitted)


Store-bought bouillons are typically packed with preservatives and other additives. This homemade veggie bouillon powder, on the other hand, takes a few minutes to make and requires a bunch of nutritious ingredients. Nutritional yeast has a savory, cheese flavor that combines so well with aromatic herbs. The best part is that you decide how much salt you want to add to it!

  1. Add all the ingredients to a jar and give it a good mix.(2 minutes)
  2. Store in a cool, dark place or in the fridge!

It's easy to use this homemade vegetable bouillon powder in so many recipes! Add it to stews, stir fries, and pasta sauces. Or use it as a substitute for veggie broth in risottos, soups, and more (mix 1 TBS of vegetable bouillon powder with 1 cup of hot water)!
