Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of chia
  • 2 teaspoons of HerbaZest Aguaje Powder
  • 1 1/2 cups of whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 1/4 cup of coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of walnut (chopped; for garnish)

What a better way to start your day than with a delicious chia pudding! This particular recipe features aguaje, which has been shown to promote hormonal balance due to its phytoestrogen content. Chia seeds are loaded with nutrients, like manganese, magnesium, and phosphorus. This aguaje chia pudding is also topped with homemade caramel sauce and walnuts for the ultimate pleasure for your taste buds.

  1. Start by making overnight chia pudding. In a large bowl, place the chia seeds, 1 cup of milk, vanilla extract, aguaje powder, and vanilla extract. Mix everything together, transfer it to an airtight container, and keep it in the fridge overnight.(5 minutes)
  2. To make the caramel sauce, place the water in a saucepan and bring it to a boil.(2 minutes)
  3. Add the coconut sugar and stir to dissolve and prevent burning.(1 minute)
  4. Once the mixture starts to bubble and thickens to your desired consistency, take it off the stove and add the remaining half a cup of milk.(5 minutes)
