Besides being one of the most famous culinary creations in the Middle East, falafel is also packed with nutrients. While both chickpeas and sacha inchi are rich in protein for building muscles and other tissues, only the latter is considered complete protein as it contains all nine amino acids that the body does not produce. As such, these falafel burgers will keep you well-nourished and full for longer!

  1. Soak chickpeas overnight or for at least four hours.
  2. Drain chickpeas and place it in a food processor with all other ingredients. Pulse until blended, but not pureed.(5 minutes)
  3. Scoop out about two tablespoons' worth of the mixture and form the patties between your hands.(5 minutes)
  4. Fry them on the skillet with two tablespoons of oil on each side until golden brown. Enjoy!(10 minutes)

You may serve your falafel burgers with sacha inchi as shown above alongside turmeric rice, Arabic salad, and homemade hummus. Or you can nestle it on a wholegrain bun with some lettuce, tomato, onions, and other veggies or your choice.
