  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup of HerbaZest Quinoa Flakes
  • 1 cup of oat
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 ounces of chocolate chips (dark)


These cookies are a great option when you are craving something sweet, but still want to keep it nutritious. They come together in no time and require only a couple of simple ingredients. Adding flaked quinoa - alongside the oats – to these cookies increases their protein content since this famous South American contains all nine essential amino acids that the body cannot make on its own.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (176 degrees C).
  2. Mash the bananas and add the rest of the ingredients.(5 minutes)
  3. Scoop about two teaspoons-worth of the batter onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Flatten the cookie with a spoon. Repeat with the rest of the batter.(10 minutes)
  4. Bake for 18 minutes.(18 minutes)
