Quinoa Flour Cinnamon Apple Fritters

  • 1/4 cup of HerbaZest Red Quinoa Flour
  • 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 apples
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar (+ 2 TSP ground cinnamon for dusting)


These cinnamon apple fritters are a truly delightful fall snack. They're made with a handful of simple ingredients and offer a good dose of fiber, protein, and minerals from quinoa, apples, and cinnamon. Plus, these soft yet slightly crispy apple fritters come together in less than half an hour.

  1. Peel and core the apples. Then cut them into thick slices.(5 minutes)
  2. Whisk together the flours, ground cinnamon, and milk until there are no clumps.(3 minutes)
  3. Dip each apple slice into the batter. Then fry until golden brown on both sides.(10 minutes)
  4. Dust in cinnamon sugar and enjoy right away!(1 minute)
