Frozen Yogurt Strawberry Jam Bites

  • 2 cups of strawberries (frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of HerbaZest Cacao Nibs (for garnish)
  • Maple syrup (to sweeten the jam or yogurt to taste; optional)


These flavorful frozen yogurt jam bites are a refreshing treat to have on hand. They feature a quick and delicious strawberry chia jam filling covered in creamy yogurt. Cacao nibs - which are crushed cacao beans - finish them off with a nice crunch.

  1. Add the strawberries, water, and chia seeds to a pan over low heat. Simmer until strawberries soften and the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes. Then mash it with a fork. You can also sweeten it to taste with maple syrup or other sweetener.(5 minutes)
  2. Place dollops of jam on a small parchment paper lined baking sheet. Freeze for at least 30 minutes.(30 minutes)
  3. If you'd like to sweeten your yogurt according to your preference, you can do so at this step. Then dip each frozen jam bite in yogurt and place it back on the sheet. Freeze until set, about an hour.(1 hour)
