Directions

This herbal steam inhalation features three potent herbs - eucalyptus, peppermint, and lemon - whose combined anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and expectorant actions can help decrease mucus build-up, reduce cough, and ease breathing. It is a wonderful remedy for those who want to prevent seasonal illnesses as well as those already struggling with nasal and chest congestion dueto microbial infections.

  1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.(5 minutes)
  2. When boiling, turn off the heat and add the herbs and lemon rinds to steep for about five minutes.(5 minutes)

When infused, pour the water into a large bowl, place it on a table, and sit down comfortably so that you can safely lean above the bowl (not closer than 12 inches, or 30 cm). Then cover your head with a towel, close your eyes, and breathe slowly and deeply through your nose for about two to five minutes, or for as long you prefer.

Remember to practice caution to prevent burns. You may adjust the distance between your face and the bowl according to your preference and tolerance. It you need to take a break, lift the towel to let the steam escape for a few moments.
