The Journal of Ethnopharmacology is the peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal of the International Society for Ethnopharmacology. It concentrates on the traditional uses of plants and fungi as healing agents and features research on the therapeutic compounds of plants, plant-derived drugs, and indigenous medicine systems. It aims to improve the available pharmacological treatments and preserve the medicinal knowledge of indigenous peoples. It has a 2013 impact factor of 2.939 and publishes 18 issues per year.
