General Information

Abstract

The American Journal of Chinese Medicine was first published in 1973 and has bimonthly issues. While Traditional Chinese Medicine is obviously a focus, the scope of the journal is much wider - it also features alternative medicine practices from all cultures. In addition to indigenous therapies and medicinal plants, it is also concerned with public health around the world from different historical, cultural, and socioeconomic viewpoints. Its current editor-in-chief is Chun-Su Yuan, and its 2013 impact factor is 2.625, continuing a steady increase from previous years.
