May is International Mediterranean Diet Month!

The Traditional Mediterranean Diet is based on the eating practices of the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea. It is recognized by UNESCO as part of the world's cultural heritage, and it revolves around eating unprocessed seasonal fruits and vegetables, legumes, nuts, fish, and olive oil, as well as on sharing and enjoying food. This diet has shown to be much heart-healthier than the Standard American Diet. This helps you to have a lessened risk of stroke and greater longevity.
