A study showed that ginger oil applied through aromatherapy is effective in treating nausea and vomiting among postoperative patients.

Patients who reported nausea after surgery were randomly assigned to receive either aromatherapy products made from ginger essential oil or from a placebo of saline solution and rubbing alcohol.

About 70% of patients who received the ginger-based blend experienced relief from nausea, while only 40% in the control group reported improvement. Learn more at:
