  • 1 teaspoon of Matcha Tea
  • 1 teaspoon of Honey (preferably raw, unpasteurized)

Directions

This recipe for matcha face mask involves only two ingredients, both of which are well known for their benefits for the skin. Matcha, for starters, is abundant in antioxidants and other compounds, which provide a good protection from free radicals, wrinkles, and age-related loss of skin elasticity. Honey, on the other hand, is a natural humectant, which helps keep the skin well moisturized. Its regular applications have been found to lighten up dark spots, smooth out fine lines, and protect the skin from microbial infections.

  1. Place both ingredients in a little bowl and mix until smooth and incorporated. (2 minutes)
  2. Apply on wet face after a warm shower or a bath. Leave on for up to 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. (15 minutes)

Keep any leftovers or bigger batches of this matcha green tea face mask in the refrigerator to maximize its freshness.
