  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (soft but not melted)
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 15 drops of peppermint essential oil

Directions

This herbal toothpaste is made with only three simple ingredients. For starters, it contains baking soda, which not only brightens the teeth, but will also help slow down plaque build-up. The oil extracted from coconut may help control microbial growth, nourish the gums, and improve breath. At last, peppermint may help prevent tooth decay and will leave a fresh aftertaste in the mouth.

  1. In a small bowl, mix the baking soda with coconut oil until a smooth paste is formed. Add either of the ingredients to reach your desired consistency.(3 minutes)
  2. Add the peppermint essential oil drops, mix them in, and transfer the paste into a small container. Enjoy!

To use your herbal toothpaste, you may use a popsicle stick to take out a small amount and spread it on your toothbrush. You may also dedicate your own toothpaste container to gently dip the toothbrush directly in it.
