This anti-inflammatory, antibacterial canker sore remedy provides soothing relief in no time! Calendula contains flavonoids, which work to reduce inflammation and speed up the healing of mouth ulcers. It also relieves pain and discomfort caused by canker sores. Ginger, on the other hand, is known for its bioactive compound, gingerol, which has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It provides infection control, allowing painful mouth sores to heal faster.

  1. Boil the kettle. Combine the calendula petals and ginger root in a mug; cover with water and leave for 5 minutes to steep.(7 minutes)
  2. Strain the herbs and compost them. Leave the leftover mixture to cool and then transfer into a glass.(7 minutes)
  3. Add the sea salt, stir, and gargle.(1 minute)

Use this mouthwash for canker sores at least twice daily for thirty seconds a time.

Be sure to brush your teeth after each meal to prevent food particles from irritating the canker sores. You might also choose to rinse your mouth after each brushing with this herbal rinse.
