Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of cranberry (dried)
  • 3 celery (stalks; chopped)
  • 2 pints of water (as required)

Directions

This combination of bacteria-inhibiting cranberry and diuretic celery will help you flush a urinary tract infection and prevent its recurrence. Cranberry, which is rich in vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and flavonoids, prevents bacteria from adhering to the bladder walls, and celery assists in cleansing.

  1. Boil the kettle.(2 minutes)
  2. Combine the celery and cranberries in a large jar and pour boiling water over the herbs to desired strength. Leave to steep for 7 minutes.(7 minutes)
  3. Strain the herbs and compost. Distribute the liquid into a mug to serve.(1 minute)

Once cooled, gently reheat in a saucepan to enjoy the tisane warm, or refrigerate and serve with ice to enjoy chilled later in the day. This recipe yields 4 - 5 cupfuls; sip throughout the day to experience medicinal effects and enhance general health in the urinary tract. If you start to feel dehydrated, drink pure water.
