Abstract

The FASEB Journal gets its name from the organization that publishes it, the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. It was founded in 1912 by three different societies.  The journal publishes research papers, news, and reviews on hot topics related to the life sciences, such as epigenetics, with the goal of promoting progress and education in the sciences. It comes out with issues monthly and has an impact factor of 5.480, according to 2013 statistics. Gerald Weissmann is the current editor-in-chief, backed by a team of more than 50 editors.
