Abstract

The Journal of Natural Products, originally called Lloydia after the Lloyd Library and Museum, was founded in 1938. It is the official peer-reviewed journal of The American Society of Pharmacognosy, who co-publishes it with the American Chemical Society. The scope of the journal is reviews and original research on natural compounds that can be obtained from living systems and their pharmacological action. It is published monthly and has a 2013 impact factor of 3.947. Its current editor-in-chief is A. Douglas Kinghorn.
