Abstract

The Alternative Field Crops Manual is a collection of chapters on over 50 plant species that can grow in the U.S. Midwest. In addition to a history and description of the plant, each entry includes its various uses, growing practices, economic importance, and more. Various extension specialists and experts have authored and reviewed the material in this book, which was put together as a joint project between the cooperative extension services of the University of Wisconsin and the University of Minnesota.
