Cranberry Infusion for Preventing Urinary Infections

Ingredients

  • 6 - 8 tablespoons of cranberry (to taste)
  • 2 cups of water

Directions

Cranberries have been used to treat urinary infections, such as cystitis, for centuries. This warming tea will reduce pain and fight infection in the urinary tract. Drink it regularly as the first line of defense against urinary tract infections.

  1. Put the cranberries into a glass quart jar. Pour boiling over the cranberries, filling the jar.
  2. Allow infusion to steep for up to 45 minutes (or to taste).(45 minutes)
  3. Strain and pour into a mug to drink.

After you have finished the tea, pour the leftover herbs out on the compost. Drink this tea as needed in ¼ cup servings without exceeding three cups in one day. The infusion can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 - 4 days.
